Neils* (Ed Pearlman) / Nuptial Knot, Snaim a’phosaidh (S. Fraser) / Brumley Brae (Wm. MacPherson)– This set blurs the boundaries between Scottish music and jazz, with an improvised intro by Neil, and a bit of experimentation in accompanying and supporting traditional tunes. I wrote the first tune for Neil, to give him some space within a jig for his love of jazz.
